Former Louisville basketball coach Denny Crum was hospitalized recently with his second stroke in two years.Jonathan Israel, the Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation’s principal fundraiser, shared the news from his personal Twitter account Tuesday evening in a statement attributed to the foundation.”Hall of Fame basketball coach Denny Crum suffered a stroke this past week and is now recovering in a local hospital. Coach Crum and his family appreciates the thoughts, prayers and also their privacy while he is recovering. No other statements,” the tweet read.Crum, 82, was also hospitalized in August of 2017 after he had a stroke while on a fishing trip in Alaska.The Hall of Fame coach led the Cards from 1971-2001, including winning two national championships in 1980 and 1986. He still lives in the Louisville area with his wife, Susan, and their four dogs.
